This is my handsome 2 1/2 month old grandson. If I'd known he would be the size of a 6 month old already I would have added a "c" to the word! I created and cut the vinyl with my Cricut Explore. Purchased the raglan body suit from <a href="http://sassybrassycustomcreations.com/products/infant-unisex-raglan-short-sleeve-bodysuit">SassyBrassy</a>.</div>

<span id="goog_467229815"></span><span id="goog_467229816"></span>What fun! We celebrated our granddaughter's 1st birthday today. Because of this super busy time of year we kept things short and simple. It was just enough to be perfect! She's the star of the show anyway. I created a banner, hat and sign with the help of my trusty Cricut Explore.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0Es5BK7dk5Xlip5J0PRZlaNrOCU6fxc6aoomfJfc9trT3ZvMrE9Gp0I152Fa6ZfNMDy04geZLTJ_y4tQYQXJ5q_iEXH4qg__XNFteKYYs7JIZQSCdgRP3AIq2eZqyrmRScbctzsyMIJw/s1600/IMG_1575.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0Es5BK7dk5Xlip5J0PRZlaNrOCU6fxc6aoomfJfc9trT3ZvMrE9Gp0I152Fa6ZfNMDy04geZLTJ_y4tQYQXJ5q_iEXH4qg__XNFteKYYs7JIZQSCdgRP3AIq2eZqyrmRScbctzsyMIJw/s320/IMG_1575.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I had a pink metal sign on hand that I loosely threaded twine through the existing holes and then tied tulle through the twine. Silver vinyl was cut with my Cricut using the sentiment from Storybook. A lot of bling scattered around completes the sign.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJ6rv1v24sV__kVNKqH-0j10q0Oe5YYNg2I_G6vRt99w-5y8vVo0JjDGSdS5si3HVGWBrrJ0KrQP8X3pydHfjiYcrPf24KPKgXxov1MHEnFHbQCXY5iiSwR-ucBbI__LEunAtduka_ObE/s1600/hat.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJ6rv1v24sV__kVNKqH-0j10q0Oe5YYNg2I_G6vRt99w-5y8vVo0JjDGSdS5si3HVGWBrrJ0KrQP8X3pydHfjiYcrPf24KPKgXxov1MHEnFHbQCXY5iiSwR-ucBbI__LEunAtduka_ObE/s400/hat.jpg" width="201" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I had a dickens of a time with the hat! I cut (from "Classroom-Dec/Jan" cart) and tried to roll at least 3 of them out of cardstock. I decided it was just too heavy to be pliable to roll and glue. I remembered I had a piece of glitter paper that was slightly thinner and more pliable. Perfect! I then quickly glued on 3 shabby flowers, cut out a "1" and adhered blingy buttons to it. A bit of pink ruffled ribbon attached with Terrifically Tacky Tape on the bottom and a piece of silver tulle sticking out the top were perfect touches.To attach the stretch lace headband, I simply used hot glue on both sides of the inside of the hat. We knew she would want to yank it off her head so we all had cameras ready and started snapping the minute it was put on her head. She left it on long enough to get some cute shots!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieZD5zLUUNJ7b-5jNzNpI6dsFwZVmNQkumsNrrT6yZCf18BN4OkCndqcLAd1nDuAUdAnpeq1yQ5Xs6oD1QC0Lyy-39xP8pzqJJ4JCZFhSxY2L4GjkgU8Fi6uD0_DXqKnpy7jIRCwLrxp0/s1600/banner.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="155" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieZD5zLUUNJ7b-5jNzNpI6dsFwZVmNQkumsNrrT6yZCf18BN4OkCndqcLAd1nDuAUdAnpeq1yQ5Xs6oD1QC0Lyy-39xP8pzqJJ4JCZFhSxY2L4GjkgU8Fi6uD0_DXqKnpy7jIRCwLrxp0/s400/banner.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My banners are usually elaborate but I just didn't have the time, so simple was the way to go. I think it turned out super cute. Because of her love of music and dancing, I cut 2 ballerinas from "Create a Friend". I didn't have skin tone paper, so I used white and then colored with my Copics. I used Cindy Loo font.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
Of course the most anticipated part was the smash cake that my niece made. She did a beautiful job with the ombre ruffle icing and we got a great photo before the guest of honor got her little fingers into it.<br />

I wanted to make something using this quote as soon as I saw it. I created this sign using the newest Close To My Heart Cricut Cartridge "Artistry". I LOVE this font. It's so fun and perfect for anything child related. The best [art of using this font when cutting vinyl? No weeding! The on-trend arrows are from the same cartridge. <br />
<br />
I now have this cute decor piece hanging with my growing gallery of grand daughter photos!<br />

The most amazing little person came into my life 2 days before Christmas! She is precious beyond imagining and brings me such joy just by being. Raising 3 boys never allowed me to make frilly stuff so I am taking full advantage of Mimi-hood and making all sorts of fun, fab, feminine fluff!<br />
<br />
This sparkly confection was my first Mimi masterpiece.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It is difficult to photograph and the sparkle and glitter do not really show up in the photos but believe me it's there! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My process:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
1. Wrap foam wreath form in<a href="http://belindak.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=7664"><b> gold polka dot washi tape</b></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2. Wrap again with<a href="http://www.papermart.com/premium-colored-tulle-in-rolls/id=10851?SearchItemNumber=90110210"> <b>pink tulle</b></a> and then fluff and pin more tulle around wreath</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
3. Using pre-strung acrylic crystals (Hobby Lobby wedding dept), cut strands to desired and varied lengths. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
4. Using Cricut Explore, cut<a href="http://belindak.ctmh.com/retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=7983&ci=1432"> <b>glitter paper</b></a> into desired shapes and in varied sizes. Cut shapes in mirrored pairs so they can be glued back to back.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
5. Using<b> <a href="http://belindak.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=1030">Liquid Glass</a></b>, Glue paired shapes back to back over fishing line. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
6. Tie strands of shapes and strands of crystals to the loops of Tim Holtz Memo Pins.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
7. Push memo pins through inside ring of wreath form.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
8. Tie 3-4 strips of tulle around wreath and then tie together at top to hang.</div>
</div>
